Courses
ExamIQ, with its rigorous comprehensive curriculum, is committed to high academic achievement. By educating students in the fundamental writing elements, ExamIQ develops students’ inherent writing talents, enabling students to better express themselves on paper. Our younger students learn to better understand reading passages and textbooks, to creatively write essays, and grow to have a deep love of reading and writing. Our middle school students learn to write persuasive essays, to expand their sentences and to use advanced vocabulary so that they can excel on the standardized testing, on the specialized high school (SHSAT) tests and in the most advanced subjects in the specialized and honors high schools. High school students prepare for their college careers, learning to express their ideas in creative and standardized essays, improving their writing skills for the college entrance exams and for the college application essays. Students learn English grammar and reading comprehension, excelling at both the ACT and the SAT exams, and becoming skilled writers, further contributing to their future career development.
Over the past twenty years, Viktoriya has helped thousands of students improve their academic acumen, study habits, comprehension, and test-taking skills. As a result, these students have earned higher test scores and grades, grown in self-esteem and confidence, and achieved their goals of gaining admission to specialized junior high schools, elite high schools and prestigious colleges and universities of their choice.
Students acquire the tools to succeed not only on the ACT and SAT exams, but also to be more advanced than their peers once they will have been admitted to the school or college of their choice. Students improve at least one grade level each month. We collaborate with the student and the family members to ensure that all educational needs will be addressed. Students are mandated to participate in classroom activities and to complete their homework assignments. The program admits only the most dedicated students, and utilizes the “three strikes and you’re out” approach, mandating students to complete all assignments or else be terminated from the program.
Viktoriya employs a self-written study manual that encompasses all grammatical elements including punctuation, verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, modifier use, and pronouns. Students learn step by step, at first writing sentences, then gradually writing paragraphs and essays. The course encompasses all of the grammar taught from first to twelfth grades. All skills are then honed by taking timed practice tests, during which students eventually learn to use only two-thirds of the allotted time for each section. Viktoriya's unique approach to teaching includes a system of progressive skill building, discipline and commitment.
